Region: Puglia, Italy

This wine is a real treat. The Surni estate is located in the Pugia region in southeast Italy.  This wine is a blend of 50% Primitivo, 30% Negroamaro, and 20% Cabernet Sauvignon. Produced with 10 days fermentation in stainless steel and 6 months in oak casks. 13% alcohol. Intense dark berry aromas, red berry flavors, medium-bodied, not quite as dry and softer tannins than I expected, but that is what makes wine-tasting interesting.
