This wine is produced from the winery’s Indian River Vineyard as well as other warm-climate vineyards from the Wahluke Slope to the Cold Creek Vineyard in Washington State. According to their fact sheet “2014 in Eastern Washington was one of the warmest seasons in decades. The ripening period in September cooled to more typical weather for the region. In October, temperatures rose again to one of the warmest October months on record. The wine is aged for 14 months in 51% new French and American oak barrels.”  Although not as bold as expected, this wine was very good with a crisp fruit front, and a sweeter than expected finish.
