This wine is produced in the Saint George Nemea region in Greece at an elevation of 2,132 ft.. The main soil type is clay and average age of the vines is 31 years. The wine was fernented and macerated in stainless steel, aged in used French barriques for 12 months, and an additional 6 months in bottles.
The red fruit front is bright but fresh, not sweet, and then smooths out to a silky finish of vanilla, spice and black pepper. The fine tannins make this a very easy wine to drink. A great wine, and at a great price point of less than $15.
