This wine is fruity with plenty of richness and body, with a primary aroma and flavor of apricot. It is produced from the E. Guigal vineyards, from vines averaging 25 years in age, in the Côtes Du Rhône region of France. The vineyards have varied soil components, sediment, limestone, and granite. This minerality does not come through quite as much as expected on the front, but lends itself to the nice smooth finish. Although very easy drinking, it can be enjoyed now or stored for 2-3 years.
